In Boston’s North End, dining out with a family can be a bit tricky. Some of the restaurants are very small and are more geared towards couples or groups who want a fancier dinner, over candle light. So when my friend asked me where should I go for a family friendly meal, I wanted to choose spots that are more casual and have a larger lay out.
I wouldn’t want to send them somewhere with long lines, where tables are on top of each other, that are jam packed with locals and visitors. The best options have affordable dining selections, room to get in and out, and menu choices that are simple for kids, like pizza or pasta with marinara sauce. Make sure to call ahead if you need a high chair or have a child with an allergy to see if they can accommodate you and to find out if there are any special dishes geared toward children.
