Eat and Sip in the City

Friday Favorites

Time to share some FAVORITES from the week!

  1. We made homemade raspberry-lime popsicles (as seen here) using a super-easy recipe and under $10 popsicle molds! The weather is not exactly warm yet, but it did get us excited for the weeks to come. Next time, we will strain the seeds to make the kiddos happy.
  2. I signed back up for Stitch Fix (you can get $25 off if you want to check it out, too) after a long pause in my subscription, and here are a few things I kept! They made it more flexible and have changed how they work. You don’t need a subscription; you can just buy individual items, get one box, or even change how often you receive a box. I went with a subscription every couple of months, where you get at least 8 items. If you keep 5, you get 25% plus your styling fee back.

3. Since I work remotely, I try to go to coffee shops for breakfast and an iced coffee in the Greater Boston area one or two times a week for a meeting or solo trip. I tried Cibo in Wakefield, MA, after seeing their creative latte concoctions all over my social media feed! I ordered the chocolate-covered strawberry iced latte and the Greenwood sandwich – two freshly cracked eggs, bacon, baby spinach, tomato, avocado, Havarti cheese on toasted multigrain bread.

4. I started a new book and am just getting into it –The Rom-Commers: A Novel by Katherine Center. It’s a fun rom-com (obviously, as the name says) about an aspiring screenwriter who heads to L.A. to rewrite her screenwriting idol’s terrible script. I can’t wait to see what happens as she navigates life away from her family and in a totally new world.

5. We saw the Super Mario Galaxy Movie at the theater at Assembly Row, and it was my youngest son Domenico’s first time! He chomped on M&M’s, got a little bit antsy about the previews at the beginning taking so long, and loved the comfy seats! He had a few times I had to remind him to whisper, but besides that, it was a fun outing on a very rainy day.
