It’s time for a quick run down of favorites!
1. Favorite in travel –
Last weekend we headed to Florida for my sister’s wedding! She hosted a beach themed brunch wedding at the PGA national resort and spa.
From the flowers to the cake, violin solo to the buffet, photobooth, to the family and friends, I would say it was a huge success.
2. Favorite in food –
My b-day was October (and my SIL too) and we headed out for dinner to Sterns & Hill with the fam. I got chicken soup, salad, a petite sirloin, and for dessert, chocolate cake! The cake itself was delish – moist, creamy, chocolate and all that good stuff, with ice cream and whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
3. Favorite in shoes –
OK it might be up for debate on if Ugg’s are fashionable, but I love them and how cozy they are in winter. So I was psyched my sister bought me a new pair for my b-day, from my pinterest wish list! This pair is from their Koolaburra line of boots.
4. Favorite in fashion –
Speaking of my birthday, the husband got me the best gift ever from the Tory Burch outlet (along with flip flops and earrings and a tasty lunch out in the North End at Carmelinas).
5.Favorite in subscription boxes –
Popsugar Must Have from October had some fun goodies packed in it. A new umbrella, book, a mug with hot chocolate, bubble bath, makeup eraser, a book, and liquid eyeliner. I am most excited about the umbrella surprisingly because it is a nice, heavy, thick, good quality version from Henri Bendel.
That’s all for now! What’s up with you – how about sharing some favorites in the comments?
*I am linking up with Life in Leggings and A. Liz Adventures for Friday Favorites.

If Tom Brady wears Uggs, I’m down with it.
They are oh so warm.
And he’s oh so hot.

A buffet photo booth sounds insane. What is it, something where you get unlimited photos?
Michelle says
HAHA buffet breakfast/lunch in the dining room – and in the other room – a regular small photobooth with a curtain and silly props !
Lan Nyugen says
You went to the PGA tournament?
Did you see Jordan Spieth?
He’s so cute. Did he go to your sisters wedding?
Bet Tiger Woods went and he probably got down and dirty on the dance floor. Did any bridesmaids hook up with him; heard he’s a certified freak.
Do fill us in.
What beach did you go after the wedding ?
Probably South Beach. Was it fun?
See any famous people there?
Michelle says
Nooo not a pga tournament – the pga resort and spa ! and no celebrity golfers attended the wedding – wouldnt that be a great story to tell.
no time to go to any beaches while I was in Florida sadly.
Louise Erdich says
Wedding was brunch at a beach on a golf course?
Wow????
So cool…
Get married, have a few bloody Marys, play 9 holes and then eat and dance until you drop!!!@??????????✌✌✌
Now that’s how they do it at the PGA. Did you see Ricky Fowler? He’s the one golfer whose pitching wedge I’d like to check out.
Was the ocean warm enough for swimming? Do they allow you to drink on the beach down there? Bet it’s not as Puritanical as the beaches in New England.
I know it’s Florida, so I’m guessing game that a lot of coke was around so that the party could kero going. I’m so jealous of all the crazy n’ fun stuff that fills your life.
I just sit around and watch Netflix and plug in my Hitachi wand ; which I call my boyfriend who doesn’t bother me…hahaha?????
Michelle says
Nope wedding was brunch indoors in a regular banquet room at the pga resort , the ceremony was on their property near the pool area. No beach involved unfortunately. I never even got to go to the beach – was a quick trip !
the guys golfed friday before the wedding saturday but no one had time to golf saturday 🙁
no celebrity golfer sightings for me !
Cat Con says
You and Sal get funky in the photo booth?
Share those pics
Maureen Nixon says
Don’t be going all AWOL on us Michelle. Not cool around the holidays.
We want to see Sal’s BBQ turkey with sweet and sour Sriracha sauce. If I recall he fried it in his uncle’s garage by digging a deep hole. Correct?
Maybe you’re still at that golf tournament in Florida.
That could be fun for thanksgiving. Do they eat turkey in Florida or Cuban food?
Will you make some delectable side dishes, possibly something with Brussel sprouts or maybe black beans a la Cuban style.
Michelle says
HA Sal does make a mean turkey – no sriracha sauce involved – just good old seasoned, fried turkey, in a fryer right in the yard .
Hmmm you are inspiring to make a recipes list for turkey day – stay tuned 😉
Fran Gleeson says
Nice wedding.
Too bad you didn’t go to the beach.
But nice that you went to a Cuan restaurant and had some black beans.
Did Sal and you do any Salsa dancing?
I❤️ Gloria Estafan. She’s great and she lives in Miami too.
Michelle says
Hmm I didnt go to a cuban restaurant or have black beans …nope no salsa dancing either.
Cat Con says
?✌??⛱??????
Meredith Forbes says
Cuban food is good.
Too bad that it’s a communist country. People don’t have rights and it’s hard for them to get good baseball gloves.
I ❤⚾?and Cuba has good baseball players and cocktails.
Getting drunk at Fenway cheering on the Sox is great!!!!
Michelle says
i have never had cuban food – does a cuban sandwich count though 🙂
Maureen Triarsi says
Share your recipes for Cuban food…
Why don’t you like salsa dancing?
Michelle says
Cuban food ? Hmmm i dont know any recipes ! My husband is italian and i grew up eating jewish recipes 🙂 i dont mind dancing at events like a wedding or something but not really my main hobby 🙂
