I am linking up with these lovely sites, for this weeks 5 on Friday:
We have lots of meals at home. Including these blueberry pancakes from scratch! So delish!
4. Favorite restaurant eats:
We have been in full fledge wedding planning mode and after an appointment in Salem at the Hawthrone Hotel, we stopped at Rockafellas. They offer a bloody mary with a meat straw, cheese cubes, lime, lemons, and olives! The only thing missing is celery! It really hit the spot. Plus we shared calamari and I got a burger with a side salad.
5. Favorite freebie:
You guys know I LOVE trying new things. Enter Pie Hole Whiskey which sent some bottles to sample. The pie liquor added to these bottles masks the strong taste of whiskey. I am not a huge dark liquor person and usually opt for vodka, gin, or anything clear, but these were so decadent and delish! My favorite was the pecan. We were brainstorming different things to do with these like putting some of the apple pie one in apple crisp, using the pecan pie in a coffee drink, and using the cherry on ice with coke! They are a nice little addition to our bar area.
What about you? What are this weeks favorites?

What an amazing blog entry. So much good and interesting info all in one place.
When I see that booze, I can’t help but think what my dad used to yell at people whom he thought were stupid. He’d say, “Shut your pie hole. ” ♡♡♡♡♡
Now I can tell him, “Hey Dad, “Drink your pie hole. ”
I ♡♡ ♡♡ the retro labels too.
Sal can cook Italian and Mexican. He’s a real international gourmand and chef. You are indeed lucky.
Amazing Bloody Mary….I can’t believe the near straw. What do they do, hollow out been jerky? Or is it salami wrapped around a real straw? Plus, I just luv luv saying “meat straw.” I had an old BF who used to make jokes about his meat straw, so if I ordered one I’d those I’d just LOL thinking about how crazy he was.
Good luck with the wedding plans. And I really luv the snow pix, and to think more of the powder is on the way. Dies the Malden area do a good job with snow removal? From the looks of that pic it kinda looks like they don’t do a good job.

Yes it literally is a jerky stick that they hollow out and you can drink through it and then eat it !
They have not been keeping up with the streets so we are not looking forward to MORE snow ugh Lets countdown to spring – 41 days!

I bet the Malden area is really head deep in snow now!!!! This is terrible. We won’t see the ground until after St Patrick’s day. ….
