Eat and Sip in the City

A Happy Hour Bridal Shower

I cannot believe my bridal shower has already come and gone! It was this past Saturday , and my sisters and future SIL really went all out to tailor it to things I would love. It was held at Exchange Street Bistro (in Malden, MA) in a private room and had under 35 guests, which was a great sized group. They really stuck to a happy hour theme by having appetizer type foods, perfect for sharing, chatting, and drinking! They even incorporated my blog by doing a theme of “eat, sip, and be married.”

The menu included everything from meatball sliders, to chicken satay, to brushchetta, to veggies and dip!

They created a fruity signature cocktail too, served in a punch bowl, with a cute sign (this would be a perfect signature cocktail sign).

And for dessert, cupcakes with little chocolate martini glasses on top! (if you want to make your own bridal shower or bachelorette cupcakes, you can even use cupcake toppers like these)

Check out the gifts table – wowza! I was in awe at how generous everybody was for me and Sal to start our life as a married couple on a good note, stocked with lots of goodies to build a home (or in our case apartment, ha).

For the centerpieces, they did large martini glass vases (this could work!) filled with stones and fresh flowers! Gorgeous! And printed out photos of us to put one frame on every table.

This gift from my two gal pals is the best gift idea ever. Wine paired up with tags that say special occassions of when to drink them. I feel like this deserves a DIY post! And the message “quenching your thirst through all of your firsts” is so darn cute too.

We played a trivia game and a “what’s in your purse” game for prizes and each guest took home a personalized cocktail themed lip gloss (here are fun cocktail themed chapsticks that would work too)!

Feeling so thankful and grateful to have so many amazing women in my life, to shower me as the one month to the wedding countdown is on!
