10 Gifts for the Hostess: Thanksgiving edition!

Whether I am going to someones house for a party, dinner, or the holiday;s, I never like to come empty handed. Sometimes I bake but it is also fun and simpler to just buy something, Bringing a little gift for the person/people who are hosting is always a nice gesture, including the following Thanksgiving hostess gift options, which are a few of my favorites.

1. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin from Bath & Body Works

Hard to believe Thanksgiving is around the corner

Michelle, will you be hosting or a guest? Did you jar any tomatoes from the BFs garden?
If so, homemade things like that are cool to bring.

I make a great spicy cranberry and citrus chutney?
    Can I post my recipe?

    Spicy Cramberry Chutney

Bombay meets Boston in this sinus clearing version

    Ingredients

10-12 jalapeños, finely chopped…do not seed
2 tablespoons habanero sauce… I like Matouks from Trinidad or Matilda’s : don’t sub in Siracha as it adds too much garlic flavor!!!!
2 bags raw cranberries—not the canned sauce …the hard ones in a bag—try to find organic
    2 limes, zested and juiced
    2 oranges, zested and juiced
    2 tangerines, zested and juiced

Fresh ginger– peeled and minced. Do this to taste; I recommend two 4-5 inch fat pieces
1-2 tablespoons chile powder or cayenne pepper
    1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup water or 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup orange juice
Salt and fresh ground black pepper
    Directions

Easy peasy …. Put all of the ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil over low to medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer until desired consistency, about 40 to 50 minutes. Be careful to make sure cranberries don’t break their skin… If they do, reduce heat. Stir every 10 minutes or so
Do not refrigerate .. Serve at room temperature

      Sounds yummy
I’d mix up jalapeño and habanero chiles for even more kick
I too hate canned cranberry sauce — I call it jelly in a can
