Subscription boxes are all the rage right now as you know from this post and this one too. I had a chance to sample the Love With Food box a few months ago and somehow didn’t share a peek of what was in the box!
Here is the situation. You pay $10 per month and receive a mix of healthy snacks on your doorstep.
This is what they say on their site:
“Love With Food helps you discover new organic, all-natural snacks delivered to your door every month. Our subscription membership starts as low as $10/month. Every month, Love With Food members will receive a curated box of unique, hard-to-find tasty snacks which varies based on seasonal themes. For every box sold, we donate a meal to several food banks such as the Feeding America Network and Share Our Strength – No Kid Hungry. Join us to help end child hunger one meal at a time!”
Sounds like you get to not only have a variety of new products to explore that are healthy but you also make a difference in fighting the nationwide issue of childhood hunger! You can order subscriptions for continuous deliveries (with 8+ items in each box) and you can even shop around and buy the products you like and had samples of, in full size packages on the site.
Here is what was in my box:
My take? You really cannot go wrong if you like trying new things and are on a health kick. This is not for you if you are money conscious, a picky eater, or have dietary restrictions. My standouts were the fruit leather and the fruit and veggie juice box but I also was excited to try chocolate covered wasabi peas and the chocolate orange fortune cookie! Check out more info on their website.
What do you think? Anything catch your eye from the box I received?
* I was provided with a Love With Food box for review, and as usual all opinions are my own!

Interesting concept. I don’t believe they can live on those $10/month boxes with free shipping, so I would assume the business model is based on the sales from their online store?

Right – The cost really only covers shipping, the actual box it comes in, and packaging materials and they probably get the food free from the brands!
I think the hope is definitely for customers to buy the full size products after you love the sample so much, at the online store !
In a way it is good for branding and marketing to introduce you to something new like this, that you might not have bought otherwise! So it’s a good way to get your name out and make new sales/customers! And for the receiver, a fun way to eat new snacks and shop!

yep. Almost win-win, but someone have to pay : )
