I finally put my Pinterest boards to use and tried something new! For Meatless Monday, I always start the day with a big filling smoothie. Usually, I use Greek yogurt, but I wanted something totally different.

I did the spinach with apple, banana, and water and it came out great! I also added some ice too since I like my drinks frosty. You really taste the fruit more than the spinach and I am very happy with it and would totally make it again.
Thanks Pinterest!

Did you use a FROZEN banana? Like with your normal smoothies? I’ve been big into smoothies lately too – my latest (that Pat actually liked too) was orange juice, greek yogurt and a half cup or cup full of frozen “tropical fruit” – Stop & shop brand. It was delicious!
Yum tropical fruit sounds awesome Meg! This one I did not have a frozen banana so that’s why I used ice! But you don’t need ice if you use frozen fruit 😉 I love the idea of having two cups of spinach without even noticing ha!
Love Pinterest! There is so much useful stuff there, and it is all visual!
I am loving it too! I have almost 5k pins ! I am going to try to actually make more of the recipes and try the work outs and take advantage of all the new ideas 🙂
I usually do pretty much a combination of those things, right now, I’m drinking a smoothie with flax, chia seeds, spinach, yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, and a little bit of orange juice.
Sounds delic !
also, I forgot to mention my blogpost about freezing smoothie ingredients to create smoothies super quick in the morning! https://davinmade.com/2012/03/21/smoothie-in-a-bag-aka-a-love-letter-from-a-smoothie-newbie/
Thanks for sharing – its a great post ! I have been freezing my ingredients separate too! Right now i have bananas, strawberries, and blueberries and then i even froze a few greek yogurts to throw in the blender too.
Wow what mouth-watering ideas you have on here. I’m particularly fond of spinach myself and am always looking for delicious yet healthful ideas. This chart is AMAZING! really made my life easier. Thank you so much 🙂
Sorry to ask but, did you use a blender or other kitchen aide for this?
Just a regular blender works great !
