I finally put my Pinterest boards to use and tried something new! For Meatless Monday, I always start the day with a big filling smoothie. Usually I use Greek yogurt but I wanted something totally different. This is what my “pinspiration” was.

I did the spinach with apple, banana, and water and it came out great! I also added some ice too since I like my drinks frosty. You really taste the fruit more than the spinach and I am very happy with it and would totally make it again.
Thanks Pinterest!

Did you use a FROZEN banana? Like with your normal smoothies? I’ve been big into smoothies lately too – my latest (that Pat actually liked too) was orange juice, greek yogurt and a half cup or cup full of frozen “tropical fruit” – Stop & shop brand. It was delicious!

Yum tropical fruit sounds awesome Meg! This one I did not have a frozen banana so that’s why I used ice! But you don’t need ice if you use frozen fruit 😉 I love the idea of having two cups of spinach without even noticing ha!

I usually do pretty much a combination of those things, right now, I’m drinking a smoothie with flax, chia seeds, spinach, yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, and a little bit of orange juice.

Sorry to ask but, did you use a blender or other kitchen aide for this?
