Though the weather was cold and rainy, fun times were had for Memorial Day weekend this Sunday. The bf’s friends always have an annual pig roast but they don’t just stop at pork. They have ribs, steak tips, buffalo chicken tips, buffalo chicken wings, cheeseburgers, kielbasa, hot dogs…the list goes on!
Sides included garden salad, cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, and the bf made a veggie and mozzarella cheese rotini pasta salad too. The coolers were filled to the brim with Corona, light beers, apple cider, and a few summer beers, a fire was going in the pit, and games like horseshoes, washers, bean bag toss, beirut and the usual drinking card games were going on throughout the day too.
I guess I may have had too many of the beers because I have no dessert pics but there was cookies, trifle, brownies, cupcakes, and other treats and the bf even made homemade English toffee with toasted almonds and chocolate on top (see- i told you he was a keeper!). Hope you all had a great long weekend and had lots of good eats too! Back to reality but hey, at least the sun is shining here in Boston this week again!
