Yesterday I shared some of the rehearsal dinner and wedding photos. But the bf and I also got out and did some exploring outside of those two events. I was so surprised how much I loved Ohio!
We hit up the small historic village of Yellow Springs to shop around and eat. Peach’s Grill is where we went to lunch! Our order included:
Bloody Mary- Vodka mixed with house-made spicy bloody mary mix and garnished with olives and a lime.
Ultimate Nachos- Corn tortilla chips topped with black beans, tomatoes, jalapeños, black olives and a spicy cheese sauce. Served with salsa and sour cream.
The Atomic- ½ lb. burger topped with pepperjack cheese, sides of jalapeños and Chuck sauce. Served open-faced with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle on a brioche bun.
Next up was a drive to the Short North arts district in Columbus, Ohio, filled with so much shopping, coffee shops, art galleries, restaurants, and so much more. One of our favorite stores was Bink Davies. The bf bought “Coolimari” ice cube trays.
We also got a good laugh at the bacon section of the store, with a pic of Kevin Bacon, along with bacon pillows, bacon soap, and even gummy bacon!
Speaking of bacon, another favorite spot for us was Le Chocoholique.
So many unique chocolates to choose from. For me? A PB&J truffle and a Buckeye. For the bf? He got a box filled with a variety of options to bring home to Boston and also, he did get a piece of the chocolate bacon!
It was such a fun area to explore and I would definitely like to go back!
Question: Have you ever been to Dayton or Columbus, Ohio or if you are from/live there- favorite restaurant or store worth a mention?
Hope you are having a great weekend!
