Last Sunday, the bf decided to pick me up and take me to breakfast since we hadn’t done that in ages. On the agenda was one of his favorite local spots in Medford, MA. There was a line/wait so we were starved when we sat down. He said I HAD to try their Ultimate Breakfast, which is a true diner type option: 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, home fries, and pancakes. Twist my arm! So delicious and I had leftovers to bring home, which NEVER happens for me at breakfast.

Since it is right across the street from the grocery store, I wanted to stock up on healthy foods to keep me full all week while writing and job hunting. A few stand outs from my cart:
90 Calorie Fiber One Chocolate Chip Cookie
Field Greens salad in a bag
Perdue short cuts carved chicken breast strips (coupon here!!)
Express Bake PotatOH!
Light wheat bread
That night, the Pat’s were playing so I headed to get cheap wings and beer to catch up with friends to see it all go down. We went to the Living Room, which has buffalo wings, BBQ, or you can have both sauces on there at once (as shown below!).We do not need to recap how that game ended though. Ugh. But nothing beats 2 dollar Coors Lights and 35 cent wings! Well except them winning considering my friend is going to the Super Bowl and my bf is a hardcore fan, so it would have been nice to win for their sake.

Beside lots of healthy and light meals at home, the theme of the week was comfort food! The temperatures dipped into the teens and the bf and I had a big time craving for some Redbones BBQ! Creamy macaroni cheese, ribs and brisket, corn fritters, cornbread…sooooo good. And as always, leftovers for me, which I love!

And one day for lunch, this happened! A North End Sicilian style slice like no other.

Saturday, in between lots of errands, the bf wanted me to try another local favorite of his for lunch. I ordered the pastrami on a soft onion roll with lettuce, cheese, and mustard. I got the “plate” and the super sized sandwich came with more fries and onion rings then anyone could ever eat in one sitting. Leftovers to bring home, yet again!

Hope everyone had a good weekend and lots of good eats this week too!

The only downfall is no mimosas or bloody marys for Sunday brunch, but this breakfast rocked and for only 9 bucks for tons of food, plus leftovers its pretty unbeatable pricing 🙂
