Here are my worthwhile reads from the web from last week 1/7:
The bff used to work at Uno’s many moons ago and there was a side dish I always loved, the skinless bake where they take red bliss mashed potatoes and bake it up with cheese and bacon and top it with sour cream. This recipe on Add a Pinch totally reminds me of it and makes me want to make it at home!
One of my favorite things at the North End Italian feasts during the summer here in Boston is the rice balls! Check out this recipe for Pea and Prosciutto Arancini from Taste as You Go. Now we can make the round tasty treats at home too.
I love all things buffalo, as you know from my recent recipe for buffalo chicken dip stuffed celery. I am very intrigued by this recipe I found on Mother Thyme for Buffalo Cauliflower Dip. A vegetarian version of the dip featuring cauliflower and Greek yogurt! Sounds so good!
On the topic of buffalo, Iowa Girl Eats featured a buffalo chicken cobb salad. OMG. The buffalo deviled eggs themselves would make a great snack. And piled up on a crisp salad with all the fixings and buff chix? Yes please!
Another snack I came across was Garlic Butter Sweet Potato Fries with Creamy Feta Dip from How Sweet Eats. Wow. I need this noooowww!
Cooking Light featured 20 Snacks Under 150 Calories! One that automatically stands out for me is the mozzarella bites!
Roasted Lemon & White Bean Hummus on Simply Scratch looks so fresh and flavorful.
And a dessert that will definitely be made in my kitchen is Little Bitty Bakes recipe for peanut butter banana yogurt pie.
Jillian Michaels’ Fast Track to Fit Workout is supposed to offer up results in as little as 2 weeks! All you need is a set of weights and a mat and you can do the moves from The Biggest Loser trainer at home, thanks to Shape.
On the fashion front, Dooley Noted Style has a great round up of tips to simplify your wardrobe.
Alert! A new location of the infamous Boston spot Flour bakery and café has opened in the Back Bay.
Have a good one!
