One week ago at this time I was checking out of my home away from home at the PGA National Resort and Spa. The bf and I and his bro and his bro’s wife all took a long weekend trip down to Florida to catch up with my family and let loose over the holidays. As I am looking through the pictures, boy do I wish I could go back asap!
Beside the fact we got perfect 80 degree weather, we had a blast eating, drinking, lounging poolside, hitting up the spa, and for the guys, golfing. I have tons of pics but I don’t want this to be the blog post that never ends so I wanted to divide up the trip into a few posts. First up, I wanted to share how awesome the hotel itself was. Beside great service from the minute we checked in (and some snacks compliments of my sis/PR exec. at the resort in the room), we were impressed with how clean and organized our room was, which in fact was bigger than my apartment in Boston!
I also couldn’t get over the views. I could see people hitting balls and warming up at the range, the water, and the lush landscape, all from the little patio/balcony in our room. It was quite a sight!
In the evening, we would come back to our room to find chocolates and a message with the weather. They even got the bed ready and remote to make it so we could just relax. Little touches like that make hotel stays very memorable in my book.
The property itself boasts 5 golf courses, a spa with its own pool and hot tub area, and 9 restaurants. Plus there is a gym and plenty of entertainment and events going on right in the lobby at the iBar. And an additional pool area as well.
Still to come: details on what I did outside of the resort, dining on the property, and the event we attended the 12 guitars of Christmas!
Question: Have you been to the PGA Resort?
