Happy election day. Hope everyone is getting out and voting on this chilly morning here in Boston. It’s time again for another round up of the highlights of restaurants or bars I visited recently in my eats from last week!
The office was empty at the beginning of the week because of Sandy, so my co-worker and I had time to head up to Downtown Crossing for the best sandwiches in town.

I can’t get enough of All Seasons Table. There has never been a meal I have not enjoyed from there. Ever. The bf got us take-out early in the week and we really enjoyed the lettuce wraps and I dove right into to my sushi.

Recommend: Hot and sour soup, sushi, lettuce wraps, drunken noodle, the list goes on and on!
Scali in Financial District is the kind of place that has everything you can think up. Breakfast favorites, Italian subs, burgers, pasta dishes, deli sandwiches, and much more. They are super quick and cheap too which makes it somewhere I go often. I got the grilled chicken salad with buffalo sauce on it and some blue cheese on the side this week for a quick lunch during work.

Recommend: Turkey club, buffalo chicken wrap or salad, chicken salad sandwich, and omelets.
Another salad I dug into this week was one of my favorites, the chicken and chick pea at Med. Grill! I like the salad so much I even broke down the ingredients in a previous post.

Recommend: Salads, steak tip subs, and wrap sandwiches.
Thursday night shenanigans occurred at Julep this week. I was far from impressed by the service (they were under staffed and drinks took FOREVER to come). I do like the décor there though and our waitress was friendly and helpful on ordering drinks. I went the martini route and really liked my caramel apple martini! It would actually be pretty easy to make at home. It included Stoli salted caramel vodka with fresh apple cider and fresh squeezed lemon.

Since it was the bf’s birthday yesterday, we kicked off the weekend Friday with a date night at Tango in Arlington. It’s an Argentinean steakhouse with lots of dishes using their house-made chimichurri. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere was lively, with every table taken when we first sat down. We went all out with three courses including dessert which was caramel flan.

Recommend: Empanadas, sangria, skirt steak, salad, and Champiñones Portabella (cheesy mushrooms).
Saturday night the bf and I had a few snacks at the bar at Red Bones while we waited for his friends to all gather at Davis Square. Usually we go for the Barbecue Belt which is a huge rib combination dinner, but we got just a couple of ribs, corn fritters, corn bread, and I got one pulled pork slider. This place always hit the spot. The bf also loved spinning the beer wheel to decide what surprise his next beer would be.
