Here are my worthwhile reads from the web this week (for this week 10/8):
With the colder temperatures rolling in, how yummy would a big bowl of chili with a side of cornbread be? Hmmm. Especially this Jalapeño Cornbread.
When you want something healthy, nothing beats homemade salad dressing on crisp greens, for a starter or topped with protein for a meal. Basic Vinaigrette from the Tasting Table Test Kitchen seems like a good easy salad dressing!
Diet Dr Pepper in brownies? Sounds like a good idea to me!
Blueberry Lime Cupcakes seem like the kind of recipe to serve at a celebratory brunch or shower…or really any day!
To burn off the cupcakes or brownies noted above, 6 Moves to Knockout Legs might do the trick.
I went apple picking yesterday with the bf, as you can see from my Scenes from my Saturday: Smolak farms, so 25 apple recipes from Food and Wine will give me some inspiration on how to use up all my perfectly picked apples.
At the farm yesterday, there were pumpkins ready to be brought home and carved. But another great idea is to just paint the outside, like these No Carve Pumpkin Designs.
Speaking of pumpkins, Serious Eats posted 35 Pumpkin Recipes.
Hope you had a great weekend!
