Here are my worthwhile reads from the web this week (for this week 8/20):
Life on Leroy featured an article about having simplistic expectations that really resonated with me.
How cool is the blogosphere these days? Laurens Latest hosted a virtual baby shower with a round up/link up to plenty of recipes from other bloggers. She also posted her own mini chocolate lava cake recipe that I definitely think would make a tasty sweet treat.
If you are looking for Boston’s best cocktails, check out Eater’s 15 most iconic drinks in town.
The Daily Fit Tip on Lifescript the other day included an interesting method of clapping your hands when you wake up to become alert and prevent pressing the snooze button. I just might have to give this try because lately I can’t seem to get up!
Anyone that knows me personally knows pickles are my absolute favorite. I always ask for extra at restaurants! Though I don’t think frying anything in my tiny apartment is a great idea since it will smell for days or maybe even cause the fire alarm to go off, the Fried Pickles on A Farmgirls Dabble’s sound delic! She also did a recipe for Mom’s Sweet Refrigerator Dill Pickles this week that I wish I had in my fridge right now.
The Chocolate Chip Bars with a Salty Pretzel Crust – from Simply Scratch, which appeared on Country Cleaver, would make a great addition to a Labor Day dessert spread, work party, or any other gathering. The combo of salty and sweet can’t be beat!
Northeastern has established a website to help voters get a clearer picture about the elections; very helpful to anyone in need of more info!
Have a good rest of the weekend!
