Eat and Sip in the City

Where should I go for upcoming wine tasting events in Boston?

A new colleague of mine at work quickly took notice that I am the go-to person when it comes to things to do in Boston. He was interested in information on where to go for any upcoming wine events in Boston. And he is in luck because there are a few coming up and even one going on now! Check out the details of 3 events below:

1. 23rd annual Boston Wine Festival 2012
Since January, this wine-centric series of events has been going on at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Prices range from $75 to $185, with upcoming seminars and wine dinners going on from March 21st until March 30th, 2012, when they hold the closing reception. Participating wineries include Failla Wines, Turley Wine Cellars and Elyse Winery.

2.  Spring Wine Fest 2012 produced by BostonEventGuide.com
On Saturday, April 28, 2012 the Spring Wine Fest will be held at the Cyclorama, Boston Center For The Arts at 539 Tremont Street. There will be a Saturday Matinee Tasting, Saturday Afternoon Tasting, and Saturday Night Tasting Party. Featuring wines from around the globe, each guest will get a passport to hop around to different booths and keep track of all their favorite wines, while enjoying live music (at the evening session). Tickets are $29 to $45 until the end of the month and then will go up to $69.

3. Wine Riot Boston
Wine Riot is a chance to sips wines you already know and love or try new ones, since there will be almost 70 wineries there! Learn something new or just get a bit tipsy while enjoying tunes from a DJ at the Park Plaza Castle. Grab the gang to pile into the photo booth for silly pics and rock temporary tattoos they will be giving out, if you are into that sort of thing. Want to track all the wines you consume? There is an app for that! They created one so you can remember and make purchases of all your favorites after the event. It will be held  Friday evening, April 20th along with 2 sessions available Saturday the 21st, for $50 to $60.

These are all great ideas! A few others I would recommend are Phantom Gourmet’s annual Food & Wine Phest (https://www.phantomgourmetwine.com/) or City Wine Tours which are on going year round (https://www.citywinetours.com)!

Thanks so much! The Phantom Gourmet event is coming up soon, so I will let him know! And am going to check out the wine tours site now too.

Why not build yourself a custom wine cellar. Its a family fun project. Make a little change in your home. I have this person who will give away good deals if you do this before next month.
